they have to be bolted down
I brought a Pod filter today (impulse buy) from autobarn.
Its a 3A racing Pod Filter, had a sticker on it saying:
''outright winner of the ultimate air filter shoot out conducted by autosalon maganzie''
''1st in flow - a HUGE 601.2 CFM! and 2nd in filtration''
''Out-gunned Apexi, K&N, HKS, Trust and AEM''
So i thought what the hell see how it goes and was on special for $29.99. Installed it in like five minutes. Turned the key and no engine lights to my amazements (veccy B that is), with the bonnet up or down and at idle it sounds like my engine is F&*KED with the induction note it makes, u can defently hear it sucking air and louder ticking sound.
But plant your foot when its parked it sounds awesome!! and under acceleration who needs a sports zorst so much induction noise, my mate was in the car and he has a commodore ute with zorst and extractors, and he said now it sounds like youve got something under your bonnet. It defently feels like theres more torque (could just be my imagination).
Im very happy with it, i know i know heat soak and all but its winter. If its a problem in summer ill make up some kinda heat shield.
**One little questions whats the laws in QLD about pod filters??**

I've heard of some guys using them on the V6 Vecces or Calibras and the induction noise on the 6 pot is horn bags

i'll have to uplode the vid of chris's veccy on the dyno, it has a tune, 4.0 bar FPR and a pod.
the pod filter has to be sheilded from the heat of the engine bay, as the pod is oiled it's classed as a fire hazard.

**Qld** Astra TS Turbo Tuner.
I know that feeling always works for me aswell.
LOL good one, the mirrors on the veccy have an aerodynamic shape so need need for folding down.
Yea that would be good to watch/hear. My pod is a dry cotton element, but i still guess its classed as a fire hazard.
