BOV will need to be twin piston in order to work on a astra.

I have one and yes you get the noise by adding a pod filter but a BOV simply doubles that sound

What BOV do you have? Should only take 10 minutes if you have all the hardware.

Must get pretty loud with a second one when chris changes gears all heads instantly snap towards his car.
