    Re: The Android Thread

To be honest, I'm not that impressed with the S4's specs, apart from having a larger battery. If it's got decent battery life, then I might be interested in replacing the S2 with one.

The HTC One looks the goods, but not being able to fit an SD card in and a non-removable battery is kind of a deal breaker for me.

    The Android Thread

I think the main feature of the S4 is the screen and the fact it's smaller than the s3.

I'm not that impressed with the s3 screen, doesn't look very natural compared to the iPhone5, s4 screen specs are awesome.

true. the galaxy's screens are generally very vibrant and saturated. some ppl prefer that but its a bit much for me.

chris: not that I disagree with you but on my previous phones I never removed the SD card, and I only ever removed the battery when the phone froze and woudln't restart ! haha

I think HTC and apple believe the sleeker phone design outweighs the need to remove the battery. The galaxy is a bit plasticy and cheap feeling as it does have this functionality.

The new One is carved out of a solid block of aluminum! Hoping the battery life is decent. my one X is pretty poor.

Really? mine is tons better than my iPhone 4. I had that charging twice a day... The one x every second day with frequent use.

Apple only believe in the non-removable battery as the iSheep believe that once the battery has had it, it's time to waste more money on the same old crap. Also, Apple don't like the idea of expanded storage, as it potentially exposes another security loophole in their lame security setup anyway.

The issue of the SD card, well if the phone has got a significant amount of onboard memory, I guess it's not that big a deal, but still a nice feature to have.

Tell me about it! Dropped a Samsung 64 GB class 10 in my XZ and now got about 60 GB available for apps and media. The upgrade cost me $99. Hate to think how much would Apple charge to upgrade 64 GB...

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
