    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OPEL-VAUXH...item2a294bd4a1

Ive always thought Ebay chip-tunes were the biggest load of wank. But I have a project I can do stupid things to... Anyone ever tried one of these?

I wouldn't waste your time. A: its to cheap, so to good to be true B: your car is diff to every other corsa out there so a generic tune wont work properly. C: take it to a place and get them to tune it PROPERLY. D: what kind of support would be available to you if you were to stuff it up ?

    Re: Ebay chips

Send the money to me and I'll buy a few bottles of rum.

Get drunk next weekend and send you a photo of the empty bottles.

Would be getting more value for money than these ebay chips.

In short, no don't buy them

Thats what I thought... I only asked because chip tuning seems to be a little more popular and common on euro cars. But the chips people talk about tend to be from respected brand specific tuning houses.

*Sigh* Looks like Im gonna have to talk to Motec... Ill ask how their "System exhaust" is coming along.

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

Megasquirt would be the better way to go on a tight budget. Fairly flexible and cheap too. Even cheaper if you build your own from a kit, provided you have electronics knowledge or a good mate who does.
