Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
Yep, that's the one...car companies will do and take advantage of any marketing tool or tactic to make or ask for more money
What's going to make this thing really hard to sell IMHO is the fact that they've also just released a 'normal' high performance variant of the 500 Abarth (the Esseesse - stupid name) and that car is not too far behind in performance to this one and costs around the mid 30k's...

My rides: 2004 Opel/Bertone TS Astra turbo convertible - 2012 Mercedes Benz C204 C Class coupe
Others: 2009 Honda City VTiL sedan - 2015 Fiat 500
in all honesty for that money id be expecting something alot quicker than that. a factory 2002 sri turbo astra is quicker than that and costs 10k. if it did the 0-100 sprint in sub 6 seconds id say maybe
