I know the 2.0 Turbo Jetta comes with the same brakes/engine/DSG as the Golf GTI, but not sure what brakes the 1.4 twincharged has.

Ordered my rear braided lines, booked the car in to get the courtnaysport uprated actuator to be fitted, got an email confirming that i will have my big brake kit by next week

Hey CNBLU, I also have that Courtenay uprated actuator. The threat on the actuator rod isn't very strong and the bolts get stuck very quick (if you know what I mean, not sure how to explain that......) Even wd40, won't get them off if needed. Not sure what can be done about that but possibly some high temp grease. I had to cut the whole rod off and weld a new piece of threat onto it.

Yes, thanks Neeko, that's what I actually meant, it can "cross thread" very easy with the courtenay uprated actuator. Mine did so after only 2 weeks on the car. Could be the original bad quality bolts or the thread on the actuator itself.
