Awesome Pics Jimbow... reminds me ... I need to get a new camera
Hey all,
Thought I might post up some photos I've taken of Brisbane's skyline at night and a couple out on my balcony at twilight.
I'm still learning with my Canon EOS 450D but it makes photography easy to pick up.
Storey Bridge
This one is a bit too busy....

Commercial Road.....
View from Mt Cootha.....
XXXX Brewery on the left, BNE airport top left, Brisvegas skyline baby!, the infamous Brisbane Eye-sore (aka Wheel) on the right, I think it might be the St Lucia Campus for Uni of QLD in middle right and I'm not sure what the bright lights are that dominate the lower right of the image.....any clues?
F*cken WOW !
Very nicely done
Just some tips:
- try to avoid having distracting things in the back ground (ie the red and white cars in bench photo)
- The under bridge photo is over compensated. I'd have focused on the graffiti, darkening up the image, and saturating and brightening up the colours.
- The bridge with cars going past. Try a higher ISO (maybe 800) and slower shutter speed to that the car lights are more defined, and don't intrude the photo too much.

Thanks Paul!
I agree, it'd be better if it was my own car in the back ground eh?!
Yeah I didn't quite know what to do there. there's some other photos of it with the flash on but they didn't seem to work well either. Also, can you do those things you mentioned ^ on the camera? I don't have Photoshop.....
OK i see what you're getting at. I had a 10 sec shutter speed for that one but no particular ISO settings so I'll give that a crack with my next one....(Roma St Train Station in peak hour).
Thanks again Pauly, feel free to PS the 'Under the Bridge' photo so I can see waht you're getting at.
