dunno about GPS apps but one app i love is Shazam. gets the name of a song you cant remember:
- open shazam
- put against radio speaker
- shazam contacts site and gives you the song name
I'm gonna be getting myself an iPhone in a month's time (probs on Telstra),
so here's a thread where I, and people like me can discuss what apps they have found to be useful for different purposes.
To start off with, what's a good GPS style app?

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
I was just about to say Shazam , that program is the best.
Hmm what else have I got in there.
BOM radar is good , Gives you access to the weather satellite to see current weather around aus.
REMOTE , Control your itunes library via your wi fi connection in your house , I love this one - Can sit outside and select songs from my phone and have them played through the home stereo inside.
Cant remember the app name, but for some of us lazy n3rds u can remote desktop too
*turns to pete for app name*
