yep, the Nulon in the gold bottle is the one i use. i lol at the '32% less friction' claim every single time i look at the bottle the reason i use it is because its synthetic and 10w/40 is the factory recommended viscosity for my engine. no complaints thus far!
the Fuchs looks interesting, i might try to track down a bottle for the next change. where do you buy it? i've never seen Fuchs in a Supercrap and Autodarn
Amazing, received a response from Castrol
Thank you for your enquiry.
I assume your vehicle in Australia is Holden Astra G 2.0 litre 16 valve with a turbo the year 2001-2004. If this is correct and as the vehicle is out of warranty, you could use Castrol Magnatec 10W-40, for Ultimate engine protect Castrol Edge 0W-30 can be used.

AWAITING NEW ASTRA J VXR TO COME OUT IN OZ!!!
I've been told by an older motor mechanic it's best to choose an oil and stick to it as it's better for the engine. Not to sure how true that is though. Anyone else heard this before?
i have, some people say all oils have different additives and it can be better to stay with the same type of oil because you know all the additives will be compatible
in practice, in my opinion, oil is oil and in a relatively unstressed passenger car engine, regular changes probably matter more than the quality. and remember to use good oil filters too...on that topic has anyone noticed the GM filter for Z18XEs don't have an anti-drainback valve? even the nastiest aftermarket budget filters have one!
Never use GM stuff...Always aftermarket on consumables
