Looking at the front guards and the lines of the doors, yes I would agree that its just an update of the current version. There dosn't appear to be too many modifications to the sheet metal at the front, mainly plastic. The rear however is quite different, when comparing to the current model.Originally Posted by romanian_rambo

With regards to the rear....the lights and the tail of the hatch look different bu the looking specially at the lights they look interchangeable i.e. same sort of shape as the current model. Hence series 2. But it does look very similar in shape to the BMW 1 series
indeed... first thing i thought.. with diff badgingOriginally Posted by mixmelb
In the third pic it looks very audi-ish
I wouldn't get too excited about that guys, as stated earlier, it's just a photoshop edited Astra H.

True, but the question to be asked is the next Astra going to be based on the current platform or will a new one be introduced?Originally Posted by MatsHolden
its pug style where the a pillars connect to the front guards and looks heaps better than the beemer 1 series IMO...
love the fat dish in the third pic... looks like the offset is a little more aftermarket rim friendly from opel
i think its a lot chunkier than the 118i/120i BMW which seems to be the peugeot lead trend at the moment... (could be wrong that pug started it, but the 207/307/407 pugs seemed to be the first ones i noticed with the chunkiness)
to be honest though if someone showed me that pic and said it was the current astra i would believe them... i dont really remember what they look like to the level of detail these pics seem to have modded it, havent seen that many around... (other than that roof bump thingy it has :S)

Agree with mixmelb, looks like the current car with some Beemer styling thrown in...........
Dosn't really cut it for me though.
I would have expected the new model to be heaps better/different than that, just like the AH upgrade over the TS.
