Shane was driving one handed through roundabouts and changing gear and the car did not struggle with grip one bit.

Damian i have to say this... The Golf GTi with DSG is going to be no match for the VXR...

Even in standard trim the VXR has plenty of straight line speed and handles extremely well...

This will not disapoint. I was thinking about the XR5 Focus but i have made my mind up. VXR all the way... If you would like some more info about my ride in the VXR PM and i will be happy to share it with you...

    pm sent shaun.

so were you in a stock one also or just modified ones, just wondering if you based your decision on a modified one only were those mods might be out of reach over here is all?

will the aussie version have the overheating problem fixed at all?

and i have no doubt tha the VXR will outgun the GTi if it didnt then i would be very concerned that is for sure.

Some pictures from my recent trip to the UK of some VXR's. Please take note of the Interior shots to for those calling the cars interior a " Boy Racer" interior.

*flame suit on * The interior looks a bit ordinary. Too plasticy. Is sat nav standard.

your not the only one that thinks that.

i like tha actual instrument cluster not to overdone and only has the things you need except the boost guage.

but the centre bit with all the plastic silver stuff i dont like that bit.

how hard is it too see out the back window while driving or reversing for that matter?

interior doesn't look any different from standard astra, which is far from plasticky

only real difference is the seats
