I understand, but an engine certainly dosen't need a massive displacement to produce big power.Ford (again, I don't like giving them credit, but credit is due) are using a 5.4L DOHC V8 producing upto 320KW as it is but they are currently developing VVT for this enige, imagine it's flexibility then. Holden maybe introducing variable inlet and exhaust timing with the VE commodore, but the fact is, it's a single cam engine, you can't adjust the timing of the inlet valves without altering the timing of the exaust valves.
