With the moderation of explicit words, can you use '?' as the wildcard rather than '*' ?

ie f?ck / f?ck* not f*ck

as I just had f-l-i-c-k-e-d moderated!

This is just my 2cents worth and flame me if you will,
but couldnt users (and i include myself in this) just be more considerate with the language they are using and remember that some people are offended by this language and/or others view it from work so be sensitive to these needs...

just a suggestion, but and then we wouldnt need a filter!!!
