Sounds like you were dealing with those blind panel beaters i've heard about.... I personally cant see where the original body colour is and where the freshly painted region is. So for my motoring future with this car, im pretty satisfied that the smash repairs joint did a lovely job.

esp if it's metallic, and esp esp if seam sealer has been used (ie replacement of a 1/4 panel)

our valuer even knows the exact type of screws/rivets used on each car to attatch its compiance/build plate, so he can tell if a car has been repaired like that too
