The Kalos was available as a sedan... so that is what the barina sedan will look like... simple. It's not the Aveo.

Engines... 1.5L SOHC and even a basic 1.2L version

The Aveo and the Kalos are the same car... The Aveo is the model name used for it by Chevy in the US.

Yes but Holden said they would be changing the image a little bit. The Holden Aveo pic I saw was an artists intepretation of what it would look like with guidance from a Holden rep. Found it on carsguide.

So it stands to reason that the new Barina sedan will have cosmetic changes from the Kalos/Aveo sedan.

The new Barina hatch doesn't look any different to the Kalos though...

Minor changes like healdights and grille and rear tail lights are a little different though... not in shape really, just... they have a different look.
I didn't mean like the nose was a different shape to the Kalos.

Even then, have we actually really seen a pic of it? Or just artists impression and photoshoped Kalos'

The current Aveo sold in the USA is the original Kalos sedan.

The above link is what some are talking about when referencing the Aveo. Its the concept car shown recently at motor shows and will be released in world markets in a year. Will it come here? probably not.

    How do you know this?

So the one in the top pic is the 'new' Aveo, to replace the 'old' Aveo in the bottom pic (the link above describes it as a 'freshening'). Seeings the Aveo and Kalos are the same car, just badged differently in different markets... it'd seem unusual if we're going to go on getting the old version while the rest of the world gets the new one, especially considering it doesn't look as good, and that the new one has a lot of Holden design cues...

This whole thread is getting really confusing with the Aveo/Kalos/Barina and which model is for what….

I would assume we would get the updated version of the Aveo/Kalos for the Barina. But the tail lights on the sedan at the top are very much a Holden design as are the headlights on the middle pic of the Aveo.

I'll honestly say that I would rather a Hyundai Getz.

Car looks weird, too high, to high off the ground and the quality.... expect it to be worse then the current barina. Click here to enlarge

Well. it would depend if the market got the 3/5 door hatch as well Click here to enlarge
In market where they will sell only the sedan then the new shape Aveo would be used. Like South America, China etc where people want sedans.

In markets where they sell all the shapes then they will probably uses the original Kalos styling so they all have the same styling cues. Like the USA and most likely here.
