Yes the swift is an exciting car. IMO go the base model as you pay $2000 more for the *Z* series and only get side airbags, 15" alloys and front fog lights. The base model has everything the *Z* series has except those mention ..base has 15" hubbies but same tyres. With the money you save you can get many factory options incl fog lights or buy a nice set of 18's and a racing stripe package Click here to enlarge

Before ppl ask.....yes you can fit 18's under the new swift as i have 215/35 R18 on 18X8 rims on my new swift. It aint insurance legal but it looks great Click here to enlarge

Yeah, if we get one it would be the base model. Don't think I'd be putting 18s on it though - just intended as something to get my other half to work and around town and nothing more.

How does it compare to the Barina generally?

runs rings around them in all respects incl the stereo.
More sporty susp and better feel on the road.

Also the swift does the same 0 - 100 time as a 1.8L Astra.

acutally its not 15% off across the board, it ranges from minimum $1000 (like on the barina) to maximum 15% (commodores) i think its 13% on Astra's if i remember correctly
