Isuzu and Buick Supplied the Engine and Driveline.
The Opel Shell was used from 1975-79 and was Sold as:
Australia: Holden/Isuzu Gemini(1975-76,TX-TD) with G161Z 1600cc engine and carried Isuzu Badging.
Holden Gemini(1977-79) the Models were changed over the Years Externally. Only Proper Opel Shell offered was the Wagon and Panelvan.
Americas: Opel/Buick By Isuzu(1975-79)G180Z 1800cc Engine. They didn't sell well. only Coupe and Sedan offered. Also a Vauxhall Variant was sold as a Chevrolet Vannette.
South Africa: Sold a Isuzu/Opel Gemini same Vehicle as Americas but a Utility was offered and was sold as a Chevy 500.
Japan: Isuzu Gemini(1975-79) Gemini was offered in G180Z and Economy Engine G161Z and only Sedan and Coupe.
After October 1979 the Opel shell was dropped for a New Isuzu designed Shell, 1980-81(TE) Interior was carried over from the Old Shell. 1982(TF-TG) a new interior was Offered and New Body Styling. (Note: Isuzu ZZ/R not offered in Australia, 1800cc DOHC Powerplant)
April 1985 the Front Wheel Drive Gemini(RB or JT150) came powered 4XC1 1500cc and 4XC1T 1500cc Turbo, Only Non Turbo was offered in Australia and Basiclly that was the end of the Gemini here. (JT150 Turbo Irmsher R not Offered in Aust. Private Import Shown.)
