Hi everyone. My daughter purchased an 06 Vectra from a friend cheap "cos it had a few problems" Dad would fix it. A few problems!!! Had to change the rocker cover gaskets, it's a 3.2. Now I'm an old school ford guy and specialise in mustangs. A Vectra is something else. I'm sure the engine was designed by Italians who used copious quantities of olive oil, the virgin one.. Anyway worked out that the rocker cover gaskets were too bloody expensive here so bought a set for a caddy from Summit racing. About quarter the price. In the mean time Daughter decided dad was taking too long and bought another car. So it has sat in the yard for the last 3 years looking real sad. Now daughter wants again. Bloody thing wouldn't start, Determined the fuel pump was crook. Bought a Bosch replacement and a new filter. All good for 1 minute then no more worky. Now gthe ump is working fine but no fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Anyone want a Vectra? I want to go back to my mustangs....

Thanks for the welcome dutchy. Yeah, feel a bit sorry for the poor Vectra. Been parked under a tree for 5 years and the paint is toast. Sorted the fuel issue tho. I used the existing fuel line when I changed the pump. It had a big split in it and heaps of volume but no pressure. Was doing my head in. Just told my daughter the cost would be $987,659.37. She has not replied. At least I can go back to my mustangs now. I think this Vectra will be sold, any anyone have an idea what one is worth? 06 3.2 auto with all the fruit 250ks with lots of new bits.
