Phil here from Maitland NSW and I am an Astra tragic (sort of).
It started off with a 2002 CD Sedan with 24k on it (when purchased in 2004) and it lasted until last year with about 250k when my daughter hit a block of concrete and put a bit of a crack in the sump, drained the oil and well the car was written off.
To replace this I bought a 2003 TS SRi with 91k on it (just to avoid replacing timing belts - I am sick of them)
I also purchased a 2000 TS Astra City for my other daughter about June 2013 - It had 154k on it, just hit 184k after 3 and a half years. Not a big driver. (more about this in another thread as I need some assistance with the aircon)
Also in June 2013 I bought a AH CDXi for my wife - she just wasnt happy with it and it was sold less than a year later.
I try and do most of the simple stuff myself - pads, rotors, services, timing belts, blah blah.
Mind you as well as the girls 2 Astras I have to look after my wifes AWD Magna and My V8 RTV Ute and my 72 Jag XJ6 ..so many services to do.
