What sort of "race" is it Gildo? Straight line or around corners? Street or track?

Irrespective of the location it will come down to driver ability more than anything else.

Mind you I think the whole concept of comparing 2 different cars in a forum like this is a waste of time as all it does is promote a "my car is better than yours" attitude that ends up going around in circles.

So why bother?

I think the astra vs barina - the astra technically (specs wise) will win, but if it doesn't win in the 0-100, it will win after it hits 3rd with extra torque and the gearing working for it....

However, i must admit, both with heavily modified suspension, etc i think the barina would have a handling advantage due to weight and balence
