Welcome to the forum.
Just joined today. My trusty old JS 2.6l Vectra hatch is starting to get a bit long in the tooth and needs some attention so looking for some direction to find a decent mechanic in Sydney to give it some TLC! Never been too happy with my local mechanic, so no keen to get some guidance as to a good Vectra guru in Sydney.

Welcome along!
Welcome.
In order to find a mechanic knowledgeable in your Vectra, try someone who specialises in Saabs. Some of the mid 90s Saabs were fitted with a variation of the C25XE V6, an engine similar to your Y26SE. Also, these Saabs were built on the same platform as the Vectra (just the Saab models were better built).
