Thumbs up [DETAIL] Audi B5 1.8TQ Avant Pre Sale Detail

This would have to be one of the tidiest A4 Avant TQ’s that we have come across in a long time! It has been incredibly well cared for, almost too much considering its age! The next owner would be very lucky to be able to grab a car in the condition for its age, price considering of course!

We carried out a ‘Presale Detail’ on the Audi Wagon at our Five Dock premises.

The Presale Detail Includes a full decontamination process; including deironising the paint to remove any iron particles/fall out, clay barring of the surface to remove any contaminants and a strong wash with APC after the initial snow foam+apc soak down (all purpose cleaner) to remove any remnants of previous product that may be on the paint.

Following this the usual standards of engine cleaning & dressing, arches, interior and in this case the leather and alcantara combination were also cleaned thoroughly (and conditioned). Wheels cleaned with 1Z Colourtec and Daytona and Wheel Woolies Brushes and dressed with Gyeon Tyre Dressing.

The car was finished off with a quick coat of Duragloss 111 as an added bonus to offer up to 6 months protection just in case the car doesn’t get sold as quick as the owner would like.

Fairly heavy marring on the mirror caps were found, possible someone brushing past has caused this

The standard usual wash marks (spider webbing) was found throughout the car, however for its age very minimal which was good to see. Remember to use your Two Bucket Method to avoid this!

The trusty 1.8 turbo engine, still used (little updated of course) in the current models.

As you can see, it definitely is worthwhile claying your paintwork as you will be surprised what is found on the surface! Be sure to use a quality clay bar with a dedicated lubricant not some cheap QD!

As the car was being sold, normally we do not do a full correction so we only did a quick single stage over to bring a little of that metallic pop and depth back to life. 50/50 shot comparing the differences below
