    Hi,My names Richard,just bought an Astra,didnt know anything about it,hopefully can find out!!!Model I have is 2003,wanting to know how I can update stereo the Blaupunkt 520 for Ipod,but keep my steering wheel volume controls please??!And a recommended Head unit to suit..

    ...but that is so over priced! I know that kit comes with some extra bits but the steering wheel control module I put in my sister's Astra only cost me $30 a few years ago. It's connected to a Sony MEX-BT5000 (old school) but basically any head unit with a plug on the back for steering wheel controls should work so long as the plug fits your steering wheel control module. The most common type is a 3.5mm head phone jack. I just bought a Pioneer DEHX4650BT for my Pajero and it has the same 3.5mm plug and would work fine with a TS Astra's steering wheel controls. There's a large selection of compatible head units to choose from

    Anybody know where you can still get the steering wheel control modules cheap?

    i ordered mine from ebay UK, cost about $30 + shipping this is the ebay store i got them off, they provide the cable to suit your head unit aswell.
