I think you have to check they're for Canbus because they can throw up some errors.
Something like the two wattages, I think 35w is +20% life but the 55w is -20% life but +20% light output from what I've read.

I'd go cheap just in case it mucks up.

You'll need a canbus specific wiring harness regardless of what you do on the Astra H series so that you don't get bulb out errors.

Best practice is to convert your headlights to projectors so you can get a proper beam pattern. If you're not familiar with projector headlamps, Watch this.
HID bulbs emit light differently and therefore make a terrible beam pattern in a regular reflector headlight designed for halogen bulbs. You'll blind oncoming traffic and half of the light you've just paid good money for will be scattered in directions that wont help you see (ie up higher, not down on the road hence the blinding people). You can either purchase entirely new headlights which have projectors (look for ones designed to use D2S bulbs) or you can retrofit your standard headlights. I'm planning on doing the first option, then retrofitting better projectors into them. www.hidplanet.com is a good forum for this sort of stuff and http://www.theretrofitsource.com/ stock some high quality gear.

I've just got a full kit from TRS including some new Bi-Xenon projectors to upgrade my headlights on my Astra G. Unfortunately the new projectors are too big for my current Depo Angel Eye headlights (which have projectors for the low beam) so I'll be getting some different headlights in the future (probably Shark Eye replicas for an OEM look). Until then this little project is on hold for me but my plan is to replace the low beam projectors with the bi-xenon projectors so my high beams will consist of the standard halogen lamps (with Phillips 4300K bulbs) producing ~1500 Lumens and the HID lamps (with Phillips 4300K bulbs) producing ~3300 Lumens. Around Brisbane with a good quality set of HIDs in a properly adjusted projector lens I'd never need high beam but driving out west to my mates property it would be nice plus if anyone tailgates me at night I'll just maneuver behind them and once I mod my fog lamps, throw over 7000 Lumens into their mirrors to teach them some manners.
