The "What your Car's Fuel Consumption" Thread

Ok, so I thought I would start a sort of E-Peen competition between us OpelAus Owners. The prize will be bragging rights until someone else beats you! Sure, you could lie, but, would your conscience let you do that?

    How to enter:
Copy and Paste the below with your details filled in, in reply to this thread.
Try and beat your previous figures!

    Model: Car Model, Year
    Engine: Engine Type
Transmission: Auto, Manual or on the road behind you
Driving Style: thrash it, or baby it
    Driving Type: City, Country, Highway
    Fuel Type: Diesel, 95, E10, 98
KM's since refill: How far have you gone, since you last full tank
Litres to fill to first click: how many L's did you fit in?
Consumption figures((Lx100)/km): Maybe use a calculator

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

Knew I forgot something, Transmission, as that does factor in...
I wish my TS would give me fuel consumption readouts, but I think only the SRi's do that?

Yeah only an SRi feature in the G as far as i know. Updated original post to show transmission (being auto)

So technically there will be 4 1st place goers here.... lowest diesel reading (manual and auto), and lowest petrol reading (manual and auto) lol

Could be more, if we go by Model too. I'm no expert, but Turbo would use a different amount, and newer models "should" use less. BUT, it's more for shits and giggles, I guess we could let the Barina and Corsa guys in on it if we wanted, make it an OPELAUS comp. Are there many diesel Astra's in Aus?

    @Elliot_O , @kts350 and @MikeCheck ? should be my rivals in this, as I know they have Non-Turbo TS's.

I normally fill up before the fuel warning light and the !!!RANGE!!! alert.

The figures below are from my last visit to the petrol station. I refueled before getting the warning.

    Model: Astra SRi coupe (MY07.5)
    Engine: 2.2 Direct
    Transmission: Automatic
Driving style: To road conditions (speed limit, AC normally off)
Driving type: City (40 km approx round trip)
    Fuel type: 98 (Shell V-Power)
    Distance since refill: 422 km
Litres to fill to first click: 44.63 L
    Consumption figures((Lx100)/km): 10.58 L/100 km

I have been recording fuel consumption for a while now and my best figures for the SRi are from April 2011:

    Fuel type: 98 (Shell V-Power)
    Distance since refill: 472.7 km
Litres to fill to first click: 45.77 L
    Consumption figures((Lx100)/km): 9.68 L/100 km

The computer has my average consumption at 9.6 L/100 km. I would have to do an average of collected consumption data to determine whether the computer is accurate if not. Too much to add up.
