BTW TR Astras don't have C14NZ's, only SB Barinas do. TR Astra has the C16SE Family 1 engine, C18SEL & X20XEV (GSi only) Family 2 engines.

Mostly pre-'97 models do and usually in the 5 door models (all 5 doors had 1.4s, C14NZ pre-'97, C14SE later). Only a few 3 doors had the C14NZ (was called the "Joy", as to why I can't imagine).
If you haven't done so already, take a look at this thread: http://www.opelaus.com/forums/showth...into-SB-Barina Apparently a C16SE swap is about as easy as you will get for this model and is almost twice the power of the C14NZ.
