Welcome to opelaus. Theres a wealth of knowledge on the forum. Good to see its still going strong after 317000 kms
Hi I am a new member, I own a Holden astra TS X18XE bought it brand new in January 2001. It has done 317,100 Kms. and still runs OK.
I had always taken for service to the dealer. But a few years back I decided to service it by myself. Recently I replaced the timing belt, the tensioner and the idler pulleys and the water pump. And also I fixed an oil leak. As I am planning to keep servicing it I joined to Opelaus to learn through the members and to help them with some tips acquired on my limited experience.

Thank you. I did pedal test after the engine light appeared on the dash board. Codes 0130 and 0140 were recorded. Today I checked wires and cleaned them. Cat spark type sensor plug was cleaned and Throttle mouth was wiped the flap was a little sticky with carbon residues. In order to do that I removed air filter box and intake air temperature box. I reset the codes by taking the battery cables off last night. After I did all the cleaning today and reconnected the battery's cables I did the pedal test and no codes were recorded. When I turned the engine on the engine light was on again. I did the pedal test and the code fault 0110 was recorded after a road test I did the pedal test again and this time fault code 0110 and 0140 were recorded. The car runs smoothly I do not feel any faults when I am driving it. I checked the codes 0110 and 0140 and they are refer as Intake Air Temperature circuit fault and 02 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 2) according to Diagnostic Trouble Codes published by Snapon in August 2008. What can I do now?
