POLL: Which Car Should I Get Next?

    Hi Guys,

Time for me to start looking around for another car, as the VXR is most likely written off.

Excluding opel/OPC brands, could you guys put these cars in numbering order of preference? Comments on why would certainly help thanks.
These are the cars I have in mind to suit my daily needs, with good looking interior and specs for the money.

    - VW Scirocco R
    - VW Golf R
    - Honda Civic Type R FN2
    - Hyundai Veloster Turbo
    - Mazda 3 MPS
    - WRX STi Hatch
    - Mini Cooper JCW

    note:
    1. Megane and Focus are out because i don't like taxi steering wheels lol.
    2. I don't really require exceptional handling as it's a daily driver and I don't plan on taking corners at illegal speeds/manner

Your response to the poll is most appreciated!

    +1 VW Scirocco R
    +1 VW Golf R
    -1 Honda Civic Type R FN2
    -1 Hyundai Veloster Turbo
    ~0 Mazda 3 MPS
    +1 WRX STi Hatch
    +1 Mini Cooper JCW

I think the VWs are best of the bunch. Hyundai, may look good, but really, you are better off with something else.

    Brand new I'm guessing?

What about the secondhand market? BMs, Audies, etc?

Brand new for MPS3 and Veloster Turbo.
Second hand market, I can't get a good value for Audi as most of the engines vs age are the 1.8T or low powered 2.0T (132kW). With age, comes not so pleasant looking interior and high kms.
BMW: I'm only after the 135i, but for the asking price vs age I might as well buy a brand new golf or rocco R.

At the moment, the ultimate bang for my buck from the list would be the veloster turbo.
    1. 155kW/265Nm (golf gti - cooper JCW performance - straight line)
    2. Interior is very very decent, electric everything - specs that I can only see in the accord euro luxury ($50k).

I speak highly of it because I went to shop for the N/A version for my brother, and boy the interior looks and feels real good.

yeah, definitely -1 on the honda after owning a turbo

the golf R is my favourite off your short list, the MPS is nice too but it falls short in comparison to the others

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

LoL fair enuff mate. But personally my pick of the list would be Scirocco. Reason: it's a golf, as common as a commodore or falcon. My mum or grandma or their friends would probably have one, while there has only been two editions of the rocco since 1970, and it's a TWO door hatch Click here to enlarge

POLL: Which Car Should I Get Next?

+1 for Rocco in green... My mate works for vw and they have too many of them at the moment so you might be able to get one for a steal

No Green for me lol. Either blue or black.
    They have too many?
Well I actually enquired for a Black,DSG,Satnav from my preferred vw dealer last week and there's only ONE available in Aus (brand new in the eastern states), and that dealer was asking for a 'piss off mate' pricing or they refused to swap.
Time to give ur mate a call?

Maybe Shadow110 meant that they have too many of them specifically in green?
