Look on the bright side. When I was working in NZ I was paying NZ$2.19 a litre for 91ron. The premium95 was NZ$2.49.
I nearly cried at that. And I wasn't even paying for it!
Don't worry. Our government taxes the crap out of our fuel as well. Around 50% of the price is tax, after the Australian gov & then state gov gets their share.
Paid $1.50 today for BP Ultimate.
