    CDTi auto query

I drove my father in law's MY09 CDTi auto last night and does anyone know why it holds on to 4th gear around town at around 60 kmh. The only way to make it change up to 5th/6th gear was to move the shifter across and change manually.

Is this a common issue on CDTi autos or is there something wrong with the shift mapping on this car?

If the 'SPORT' button is on, it holds gears alot longer, like stupid longer....
Also, ive noticed with sport off, the shift points are speed dependant too.
So its not a fault or anything, just the way its designed.

Intetresting, since the oilers are loaded with torque one would expect them to shift up all the way even at just 60km/h...
