    The Horror's of Motorsport

It has indeed been a horrible week for the motor sport community.

Firstly the Indy crash taking the life of Dan Wheldon in a horrific crash

Then tonight another horrific crash taking the life of MotoGP star Marco Simoncelli.

Thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of both of these guys.

Would also be a terrible time for the teams and fans of both sports.

I'm sure everyone on OpelAus shares these thoughts with me.

RIP Marco, the crash is almost sickening to watch.
I just hope he died instantly when the bike hit him, not from the horrible slide afterwards.

He lost the front end, hence veering across the track.
He also regained consciousness after the incident, such a terrible loss!

He came off at turn 11

And i think he actually oversteered ain. Understeer would have left him relatively safely in the gravel trap.

Just going by what they said on One. Losing the tail makes a lot more sense for how he came across the track

such a sad loss... a genuine nice-guy in the GP.

sadly we will never see him win a championship as he was most destined to do someday.
