The key to this is the 'just one car' aspect. This one car needs to do everything you need a car for - as well as the blue sky awesomeness stuff. So for anyone posting 2 door supercar stuff - would you really be able to go shopping in it? What about picking the family up from the airport?

Anyway, for me, money no object - i'd probably go for a Jaguar XJ supersport...

That's what a partner and their car is for... This one, purely for the enjoyment of a car in it's simplest form.

    Whatever...Simple answer for me is Porsche 997 GT3RS 4.0

You can go to the shops in it.
It will fit your shopping in it.
You can hang your dry cleaning off the rollcage so it doesn't get crushed.
A 10 year old will love the sound it makes.
Its damn quick both on the road and on the track,
    It looks cool.

Very nice car that, and yep - you actually have a fairly decent "boot" space up front with a 911, courtesy of the engine being right out there at the back Click here to enlarge

No, that's called cheating Click here to enlarge. If this was about pure enjoyment, there would be no need to specify:

That M6 was still practical - might be a 2 door, but it's 4 seat and has bootspace.
