Just got an Astra SRi 09

    Hi guys

Just picked up an 09 Astra SRi.
Black on Black. Pretty impressed with it actually.
Am looking into changing the radio with one of the VMXII units from England
Or is it possible to hook up an amp and sub from the original radio?

    Cheers
    Steve

u just need an RCA converter and run the rear speaker lines to the amp via the converter, then to the sub. you will lose your rear speakers though.

that being said, the VXMMI has much better sound quality than the standard unit. the increase in sound quality was very noticeable when we changed from stock to a VXMMI (series 2)

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

I bought a cheapy rca converter from super cheap and I still have my rear speakers... Don't cut the wire then attach directly to the converter... I bared a section in the middle and spiced it in from there... Still have very good sound from rears...
