I'm about to embark on rooting my galaxy tab (P1000) that I've got in my car so I can delete all the 'not-useful-in-car' apps like the reader and stuff. Hopefully make it a bit more streamlined.

Also, is there any music player you guys really like? Or just the stock one? Everything on the stock one feels a bit clunky is all, especially for car-use.

I don't mind Winamp tbh (yes it still kicks the llamas ass!), the other music player I was using for a while was Apollo Player.

Also found a great app that gives you soft home and back buttons. Fantastic as I covered mine...

Successfully rooted and removed Samsung/Optus bloatware as well as superfluous apps like ereader etc.

Put in soft-buttons as well which is in a REALLY handy little drawer to the left of the screen so my now covered tactiles don't need to be used.

Success!

Much easier than my G1 days as well!

Cracked the screen of my Z so now using a loan Nexus 4 until the 5 is out in a few weeks time. If you want a stupidly cheap smart phone, N4 8GB is still available at $269 delivered from Google.

Haha its perhaps a little redundant having so much processing power in a phone. Not really noticing any differences between this and my HTC One...just hoping that it will stay faster for longer
