I think I remember you saying you downloaded Tasker Toby??? Is really that much of a pain in the a*se to use?

yeah, how do you set profiles?

Yeah I'm using Tasker, its not bad, you can set both timed and event based variables for when to enter a profile which then executes any task eg adjust brightness, turn data on/off etc.

Has a decent learning curve, to make it work really well tho I suggest playing with it a bit when you have spare time to get a better idea of what conditions you need to use etc

Just a few pics of how I have mine setup as an example. Between 11PM and 7.15 AM phone is on silent with all data etc turned off however I have another profile that will activate IF I get a call from anyone on a selected list incase of an emergency (so I can hear the phone ringing)

how much more battery life do you reckon you've gotten with Tasker?

at a guess I'd say 11pm - 7.15 would be using bugger all battery now, but during the day there would be little to no change. I always have data on tho

It's only 6 bucks I suppose. Will get it and play around with it.
