Holy crap
What did you do?
Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
Turned everything off. All it does is make phone calls and send sms/mms. Doing it just for a laugh to see exactly how long it will last. I turn on the data every few hours to sync emails and thats about it. I know it defeats the purpose of having a smartphone but its an experiment more than anything else to see exactly how much your battery gets raped by all the background stuff.
I reckon I should get 4+ days out of a charge.

yeah, thought it would be a good exercise - always have access to a computer at work and at home so who cares if the phone doesn't sync emails straight away. And to be honest, it's quite nice to not jump up and look at an email the minute it beeps
If I need Net, I have put a mobile network widget on the homescreen so can turn data on quickly and do whatever I need to do. MMS still come through no problems.

Thats weird. When I turn data off, I get the mms with a download button so i have to turn data on before downloading it
