Actually AFAIK from the 1 series forums, it's the same chassis 'hardware' as fitted to the current E92 M3 not the actual chassis itself Click here to enlarge

That also includes the diff and suspension taken straight from the M3's parts bin...

To me 110K is a bit rich i think for what it is, especially if you tick a few options and include dealer and govt costs starts getting closer to 130K Click here to enlarge

That being the case puts it right inline with new Pov spec M3 and if buying BMW i know what i would be buying Click here to enlarge

Biased i know, but 130K buys this Click here to enlarge:

Yawn....... it's a limited edition M car, and is marketed as a race going version of the 135i so the manual is the obvious and logical choice.

Just to clear up, the E87 and E90 chassis is identical so the 1 series and 3 series share the same chassis throughout the range.

So it was easy to put the E92 M3 parts on the 1M cause the chassis is the same, but the bodywork had to be modified to suit!!

    Great purchase!!!

I actually walked pass Park Lane BMW yesterday on my way to the Dorchester Hotel and looked in the window. There were some serious cars in there, but there is another dealer down the road that had a grey Spyker, a yellow Lamborghini (with really bad yellow and black interior and rims and best of all a raw carbon Koniegsegg...

    Got to love that...

it is a great event, not your usual car show etc, very well organised and the hill run event is great to watch with many exotic and former race cars involved plus drivers, driving up one of BMW's cars I am looking forward to ........

the 6 month wait now will be well worth it, may even have a buyer for the corsa as soon as later this month, we are heading down now to spend the day cleaning her up and a coat of wax.
