A lot of reps are too heavy...

Last thing you want is for the wheels and tyres to be 5kg heavier per corner

That's sprung weight. A bit different to unsprung weight in terms of affect on handling :-)

20kg extra only applies if the car is being tracked or used in competition...... it would have next to no affect for every day road use Click here to enlarge
Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

I beg to differ..5 kgs per corner will make a big difference on the road..

Read this, like Bloodnok said unsprung weight vs sprung weight.

Thanks John. I'll take my chances with the reps.

Need 2 new tyres for my 17s.

Found Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 for $149ea and Dunlop SP Sport MAXX for $165ea

Would ideally like to get 2 more RE001's to match the other 2 on the car, but hard to find RE001's and the new RE002's are $260ea

Anyone got any feedback on the Goodyears/Dunlops, or have any other suggestions in a similar price bracket??

I cant vouch for the goodyears... but I have the SP Sport Maxx's and they are fantastic. They grip well and handle great
