Let me know how they are Rory.

I need to replace my rears sooner rather than later.

Currently have the RE001s at the fronts which will move to the rear.

Hopefully they do come in your required size to go with the VXR rims!

Well they seemed pretty good on the way home tonight, first drive without the kids in the car Click here to enlarge

Think i might have scared the motorbike rider in front of me going around the roundabout as it wanted to see where the traction break off point was lol. They were set at 40 so i've now dropped them to 36 hot, same pressure i've always run, so will see how they go tommorow, but first impressions are pretty good, atleast the same as the dunlop sport maxx tt's.

Just to throw my 2c in...... The Hankook Ventus R-s2 is probably the best road tyre I've ever used.

Though, I wouldn't recomend them for daily use, as don't expect too much life out of them. I got ~10,000km (that did incl 2 track days).

A while ago, I complained to the tyre place I always use that the rather expensive Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres didn't last very long (10.000 k's only) so they gave me at cost some "fast response" ones to try. These certainly last a lot longer but are also a lot more slippery in the wet. Today I noticed a large cut in the side wall of my right rear tyre and a big chunk of rubber missing from the side wall of the left rear tyre............ so got 2 new ones for free under the road hazard warranty and 2 against a lower price. The ones I'll be trying out now are the new Goodyear Eagle f1. Have been reading mixed reviews, most of them good, so want to try it out for myself.

On the topic of Dunlops... im pretty happy with the RE50A's on the back of the H... they have been with the car since new and have about 5000kms left, the car has 71,000kms on it, so thats pretty damn good!!!

I have the sport maxx on my polo (rear, the fronts lasted about 17,000kms), and they are about 20,000kms old. They would have easily lasted another 10,000kms..... before i took them to the track Click here to enlarge

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
