I've driven on PS2 and SC2's and the PS2's win hands down. never driven on a tyre as good.
both are still a superb tyre.
can't comment on the PS3's.
Guys
I know there has been a fair bit of discussion lately on tyres but I too am up for new tyres and I have narrowed it down to either Conti SC3 or Michelin PS3 on my SRi-T (225/40 R18)
My OE tyres are the Conti SC2's that I've been very happy with. Does anyone know the difference between SC2 and SC3?
Also I know the Michelin PS2's are better than PS3's but are they worth the extra?
The prices I've been quoted do far are as follows:
a) Conti SC3 $370
b) Michelin PS3 $450
c) Michelin PS2 $505

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
We use both on customer cars at work, the Michelins tend to last longer and grip better, the Contis are quieter though.
Personally have found the Michelins to be better, could not believe how much grip my old Pilot Sports had, even on the drag strip with 10% tread left =)

Thanks mate, just bought these CS3's and saved myself a packet even after paying for shipping and fitment I will be miles ahead.
Does anyone know a good place that can properly balance and fit tyres for a good price in Melbourne. I live in Camberwell so would prefer something out east.
Theres a Beaurepairs and Kmart Tyre and Auto both on Toorak Rd in the Camberwell area, theres a 3rd place but have forgotten the name.
