... and it could possibly confuse quite a few 'new recruits'. When I first found this forum, ISTR I was looking for a place to ask a question. I don't think that will be all that unusual a case. The decision to stick around came later. If I'd had to introduce myself first, I'd probably have skipped over OA, and kept looking.Sure it'll work to some extent and maybe make some long time stalkers introduce themselves, but overall I doubt it would increase a membership base.
The ability to search individual sections of the forum. For example I'd like to search for 'spark plugs' in the Astra Turbo Section, rather than the whole site.
I find this very useful on other forums.
Never mind..... Just realised I have been in the 'Search Multiple Content Types' search mode for the past year!

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
