Talking My Vectra B (2.0L 16V) with holden by design wheels. Craig from Melbourne (Wantirna)

    Hey Guys,

Came across this site yesterday on google and joined up. Some really good stuff on here and I'm thinking I might go to the Flood Fundraising Cruise on the 30th this month (with my dad supervising me) in Docklands and come and see some of the members cars. This Vectra is nothing too special but it is wonderful to drive. Just had a new clutch put in at 109,000kms, and it has been in the family since new. It has holden by design wheels fitted at purchase and everything in the car works great. I put in a Sony CD player with AUX input so I can use my iphone and listen to CD's while driving. Also put in some new sony Speakers as well.

I'm 16 at the moment so I'm still on my L's, but I really enjoy driving this car. I love going for sunday drives up Mt Dandenong and up the Nepean Hwy. This car has done a couple of long trips too including Melbourne to Echuca and back about a month ago.

I also uploaded a video on youtube to show the engine with a few revs and also the interior of the car.

Glad to be a member of this site!

They are on their l's till they are 18, and they must be able to demonstrate 120 hours, suits me, figure the longer they have a responsible passenger, the "better" they will be on the roads later on. 2012 isn't that far away anymore Click here to enlarge

Yeah mate as 2002_XC said you have to wait until 18 to get your P's, although I don't mind. I figure I will have more experience and be a better driver. I've already done well over 120 hours, I think I'm up to about 140 something now and I've had my L's for almost a year. I guess one good thing compared to NSW is that we don't have L&P speed restrictions so you don't have to sit on 80 along a freeway and slow the left lane.

Thanks mate it's a great site, and I agree, I don't mind being on my L's for 2 years. It's only a couple of years restriction for many years of driving to come, may as well get my experience now. I've done a defensive driving course which taught me heaps, well worth it IMO
