    DB 1170 pads.

Not sure if this is the correct section or not.

But was wondering a price on the DB 1170 pads. All ranges would be good.

Also are they the same as the bendix pads or u just use there codes?

    Hi mate,

Yep, right section, I just haven't had a chance to post anything up yet.

Got DB1170 on the shelf in 3 different QFM performance compounds:
HPX $79 - Bendix Ultimate equivalent, fast street use, and low dust and rotor wear
    A1RM $119 - Ferodo DS2500 equivalent, fast street/track
Comp 9 $179 - Regular track work, used alot by improved production race cars

Got a stack of other options available depending on what you're using the car for. The Bendix codes are generic to most brands, but alot of our performance stuff also carries "GSLxxx" part numbers. But DB1170 is DB1170.

    Cheers,
    Greg

    Hey Greg,

Its a SSS Pulsar N14, used as a daily with eventually some track/strip work. Most of the time im driving the car i have my baby girl in the car so decent stopping power from get go to a hard drive is needed. Along with low dust as car is rarley washed Lol. Decent rotor wear is also a consideration.

Also do u carry anything for the rear of a 1993 Nissan Pulsar SSS N14.

So the prices are the same as the Ebay prices. How much is shipping, where is pick up from?

    Hey Damo,

If you want to do track work, then the A1RM is the minimum. It still works from dead cold, doesn't dust up that badly, but it will have slightly higher than normal rotor wear, but not excessively so given the performance.

Need to know if your car runs DB1211 or DB1247, but either way, got both HPX ($79) and A1RM ($119) on the shelf to go!

So the prices are the same as the Ebay prices.
Yep, and please don't mention the e word. I hate that place with a passion...

Pickup is from Coorparoo (soon to be Annerley) otherwise shipping is free if you ordered front and rear pads together.

    Regards,
    Greg

But please don't buy through ebay.

(is that y u hate it).
    No I hate ebay because:
    - As soon you advertise something on it, it de values the product
    - Everyone want to pay with gaypal, which is ridiculously hard to account for through a business
    - The above mentioned gaypal fees, and ebay sales fees are ludicrous. I'll take the 1.1% merchant fees through our eftpos machine any day of the week...

do the A1RM have the same squeal problem that others are having with the HPX?
Squeal has got nothing to do with pad compound. It's caused by harmonics between the backing plate and the caliper itself, and is ussually due to minute manufacturing tolerances in both the caliper and the backing plate. Bedding the pads in for longer periods of time settles the pad down more, but the easiest way to fix it is to apply a soft stick on shim kit similar to what EBC and TRW pads come with standard. The only time pad compound directly relates to noise is when it's making a very low speed grinding noise (like pulling up to lights), and not that high pitched squeal.
