    New Race Car

Here's a new race car which has just been released which some of you blokes might be interested in, I had a bit of input into the bodywork design for Jon and Dean Crooke. Some of you may remember Jon Crooke racing for Brock's team in '87 at Bathurst in the number #10 car.
All designed, engineered and built here in Melbourne.
Had a spin out at Calder and it's a beast.

It has a 450cc Yamaha engine with a 5 speed sequential gearbox.
Space frame chassis with driver safety cell and full FIA spec ROPS.
    6 point harness.
    4 wheel disc brakes.
    Ohlins coil over dampers.
    Race weight of 240kg.

    Lap time Winton Long
    1:30

    Compared to...
    V8 Supercar - 1:23
    GT Production - 1:29
    Aussie Racing Car - 1:32
    V8 Utes - 1:39

    holy crap thats fast!!
Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

It's been designed to fit the gap between Karts and Formula Ford. A Formula Ford will set you back $110k +, this will set you back about $30k. Making fast motorsport accessable to those not with rich parents/big wallets. A lot of talent goes begging because of lack of funds, not lack of driving ability.
