i think a better question is, would i pay 70k for a car in general!!!

but 70k would be a 5 door DSG with almost every option, id get a fairly basic model 3 door which should be around the mid 50 mark, which i still cant afford!!

Seen the R for the first time tonight, a silver one on black 19'' wheels, DSG and leather. I have to say it was pretty dissapointing, looked like it was trying too hard, almost ricer like... And then it was the price: not much change from $65k drive away. That is way too much for a Golf...
Worst thing of all, I felt no emotion looking at it. Not the car for me, for sure.
