It's the fault of the producer thinking they can cost cut by shooting with a single lens and "adding 3d" in post production. Alice in Wonderland had the same thing - poor popup book style 3d, at least compared to Avatar which was shot with stereoscopic cameras. Rereleases, ie Titanic 3d will have the exact same problems.

Live TV/sports will be shot with stereoscopic cameras, they'll look good.

Oh games too - they just render the scene from two points. But tbh, I doubt the PS3 will produce a high enough framerate to pull it off - it effectively halfs the framerate.
thats for older games that can utilise the 3D side of things.
