not really...... very average can get that sorta price sourcing from a shop
500gb goes quick aswellsee if you can find a 1TB un-powered expect to pay $200ish

by "non-powered USB" you mean USB connection to a PC\MAC only, yes? if not, Officeworks have a WD 1TB for $95 but thats a 3.5" so it means two connections, one USB to PC\MAC and second AC to power pointOriginally Posted by BEK-46P
= pretty much a desktop external HDD. if you want a portable external HDd you might want to look at a 2.5" (laptop) type external drive, i got one from Fluidtek for less than $100 for a 500GB HITACHI, USB powered.
i bought my USB powered Maxtor 500gb for $60 from Big W.. have to plug in both Usb ports when in use but
maxtor isnt a big name brand but.. so how long it lasts me i dunno
If it's a fairly new Maxtor drive , It's prolly a Seagate in disguise - There the same company now.
