Anyone recommend where to pick up a cheap external hard drive? Non-powered USB, largest capacity. And what are some good brands?

by "non-powered USB" you mean USB connection to a PC\MAC only, yes? if not, Officeworks have a WD 1TB for $95 but thats a 3.5" so it means two connections, one USB to PC\MAC and second AC to power point = pretty much a desktop external HDD. if you want a portable external HDd you might want to look at a 2.5" (laptop) type external drive, i got one from Fluidtek for less than $100 for a 500GB HITACHI, USB powered.
If it's a fairly new Maxtor drive , It's prolly a Seagate in disguise - There the same company now.
bought a WD Elements 320GB about 4 months ago for $72. Great drive.
