Monaco definitely wasn't an RBR friendly circuit last year, but I'm not so sure it won't be this year. Last year the RBR had the longest wheelbase of any car on the grid, the only other team that were even close was Toyota, (and by default) Toro Rosso. This year all the teams have longer wheelbases due to the larger fuel tanks, and now most are pretty close to the RBR because it didn't change much. Although the RBR is very aero efficient (easily the best on the grid) it does also seem to possess pretty good mechanical grip and drive out of slow corners, which I beleive is largely due to the master stroke of Newey going to a pull rod rear end.

The RBR is an odd car. It's no secret the Renault motor is lacking some outright grunt, and the Red Bulls had near the bottom of the list in top speed in qualifying, despite being nearly a second a lap clear of any anyone. The saving grace is that it's also the most fuel efficient, and the RBR and Renault cars start the races some 10-15kg lighter than anybody else. This will play a big part in Monaco, the lack of HP won't be an issue, but the ability to start alot lighter, on a very stop start circuit, in a year when everyone's wheelbases are longer than ideal means the RBR will be alot stronger than last year!!!

I can't wait till Monaco (only two days to go!!!), and I'm pretty confident the RBR will still be right up there.

Anyways, I gotta stop rambling and get back to work... Click here to enlarge

lol typical vettel - first thing he does is blame someone or something else. He was probably telling the truth but still he has this aura of arrogance around him
