just had to do a firmware/software update to it to get SBS
other than that, not one problem mate.
you can also record shows while you are playing a game. no decrease in performace at all

im thinking of getting one for the bedroom, only concern is, if i wanna leave it on to record a heap of shows, is it ok to leave the ps3 on for days on end??
is it worthwhile getting the BD remote for it instead of using the controller?
Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
I tend not to use mine so much as there's nothing much on that I don't already download, but I still find it useful for those spur of the moment things. Don't have any problems with quality apart from SBS...
The best thing is that you don't have to leave your PS3 on...you just set up the schedule and it will turn itself on and off when required (you just need to leave it on standby/red light - which is fine)
The BD Remote is well worth the money !
mine has stayed on for a few days no drama
but if you use hte EPG it willl turn tuihe console on when needed and aturnn it back off again
and yher., teh blu-0ray remote makes a massive difference!

I just got one of these today and tried recording speed on go but when I got home the recording was cut short due to lack of memory space but when I checked I still had 5 gb left.. what's up with that?

I sold myn. Too much hastle turning everything on.
Just buy a $70 usb tv card, record to your pc and watch it on media center on your xbox. Done
upside is if you want to keep anything you can just burn it to dvd with media center
